Since a young age, the making of items by sewing, knitting, or crocheting has intrigued me. When my grandma introduced me to sewing, I loved it. I began hand stitching little pillows for my stuffed animals, and filling them with cotton balls I got from the bathroom cabinet. After awhile, I got my first American Girl doll. But The outfits from AG were expensive... and why buy clothes when I could just make them?
My grandma bought me my first sewing machine, and I went right to work learning how to use it to make doll clothes. We worked together and she taught me how to use patterns and follow instructions. The puzzle pieces started coming together.
But after a few years of sewing, my enthusiasm sunk. I was sewing doll clothes, but only for myself. It didn't seem right.
So I started Zellawear, an outlet for my sewing passions. I strive to create trendy, unique and detailed clothing pieces, using a variety of materials. I love to reuse old clothing, or find vintage scraps of fabric from thrift shops.
And that's my story! If you need anything, or are interested in a custom order, feel free to message. I don't bite. :)
